<p>PURPOSE:To produce carbon black in high yield while independently and extensively controlling the quality of the produced carbon black, especially a compressed DBP absorption to DBP absorption ratio and a diameter of an aggomerate. CONSTITUTION:The second reaction zone in which the main reaction for forming carbon black is conducted is constructed so that it may consist of a hollow cylinder having a structure composed of at least two cylindrical sections having different internal diameters, and a hydrocarbon feedstock is divided into streams and fed to at least two points of the upstream cylindrical section 4a or 4b and arbitrary downstream cylindrical sections 4b and/or 4c. The flow rate of gases passing through the respective cylindrical sections are varied from each other within a range of 100-500m/sec.</p> |
