<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration in characteristic in a shutter element at the terminal part of a chip compared with the one in which conductive film are formed at the terminal part and the side part of the chip by facing a com mon electrode with the side of the chip by utilizing a groove for shutter element division. CONSTITUTION:Plural shutter elements 17 blocked with the groove crossing to a groove shape common electrode 16 are arranged at both sides of the common electrode 16 formed along the longitudinal direction of the chip made of electro-optical material, respectively, and the common electrode is faced with the side of the chip via an energizing part 19 where the common electrode 16 is formed on at least one of grooves.</p> |
