PURPOSE:To provide an image output device wherein image output having higher grade in each resolution can be obtained without large memory capacity even when a resolution of an image recorder is switched. CONSTITUTION:A resolution setting section 700 receives a resolution setting command from an external device 300 and sets a resolution of a printer engine 200 to a designated resolution in accordance with the resolution setting command. The resolution setting section 700 divides one picture element into optimum numbers in accordance with the designated resolution and sets a logical circuit for processing a smooth optimum for the divided data in a smoothing section 18. Then, a bit map expansion based on a code data to be sent from the external device 300 and the smooth based on the smoothing logic are performed. |
