摘要 PURPOSE: To make it possible to form microlenses for optical applications (for example, display, etc.) by adhering liquid onto a substrate whose surface is locally reformed in order to increase the wetting capacity of the light. CONSTITUTION: The surface of an arom. polyme substrate P is locally irradiated with UV by using a mask formed by a standard method and, by using a high- energy density source of an excimer laser the wetting capacity of the liquid thereon is increased. Next, a mixture composed of a liquid org. material, for example, an epoxy resin and a hardener is adhered by pipetting or condensing of vapor onto the substrate P. The fluid condenses gradually on the irradiated regions after the adhesion and the liquid drops of the fluid sprayed onto the unmasked regions are obtd. at the time of balancing. The org. fluid is then hardened by a heat treatment or photochemical treatment in order to obtain the solid liquid drops for forming the matrix of the microlenses M on the substrate P.
