PURPOSE:To obtain the image display device which can set the pressure resistance of a horizontal deflecting signal output circuit low and can reduce the energy consumption of a convergence amplifier. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an A/D converter 11 to convert a composite video signal to a digital video signal, first and second memories 12 and 13 to store the digital video signals, a write control means 14a to alternately write the digital video signals in the first and second memories 12 and 13 for the unit of one horizontal line, a read control mans 14b to alternately read the digital video signals from the first memory 12 in the same order as the order of writing the digital video signals and from the second memory 13 in the reverse order for the unit of one horizontal line, and a D/A converter 15 to convert the read-out digital video signals to analog video signals and to take these signals as illuminance signals. The generating means of a horizontal deflecting signal generates a triangular signal switching increase/decrease each time a horizontal synchronizing signal arrives. |
