PURPOSE:To provide a light emitting element which can improve the coefficient of utilization of the light. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 14 are formed at the two opposed corners of a light emitting element 10. A conductive part 14a provided between the two electrodes 14. When a linear light source is formed of light emitting elements 10, the light emitting elements 10 are so disposed that disposition reference line of the light emitting elements 10 and the diagonals of the light emitting faces 12, which pass the corners where the electrodes 14 are not made, are aligned with each other. |
