PURPOSE:To obtain a polishing wheel maintaining polishing performance with density of 0.2kg/cm<3> or less, by forming a make coat wheel of volute shape with density of 0.5g/cm<3> or less between laminated layers of a card web. CONSTITUTION:A temporarily stopped card web 12 uses its volute-shaped wheel as a framework, and this temporarily stopped web 12 forms between its laminated layers 13 a volute-shaped make coat wheel with density of 0.5g/cm<3> or less having a continuous connection part 14a by thermo-plastic resin 14. A size coat is applied to a surface of this make coat wheel by thermo-setting resin 15 containing an abrasive material grain 16, and a polishing wheel 11, securing the abrasive grain 16 to a surface virtually with low density of 0.1kg/mm<3> further with roughness and rich elasticity, is obtained. |
