<p>PURPOSE:To elevate the renovation efficiency of a filter by so providing sealing plugs, which consist of ceramic cement materials, as to project from the end face, in the through holes existing alternately at one end of a honey-comb structure which has porous ceramic bulkheads. CONSTITUTION:In a filter wherein honey-comb structure which has many through holes being made by porous ceramic bulkheads is provided in the cylindrical space surrounded by an outer frame 17, first seal plugs 18 consisting of ceramic cement materials are so set as to project from the end face, in the through holes 16 existing alternately and the through holes existing at the periphery of the honey-comb structure, at one end of the honey-comb structure. Moreover, second seal plugs 19 are provided at the other ends of the through holes 16 not provided with the first seal plugs 18. Hereby, even if air for combustion is blown, the cooling is controlled by the first seal plugs 18, and they prevent the heat radiation from the filter being heated with microwaves, and enable efficient renovation.</p> |
