A door system for the sides of freight containers comprises a door opening defined by two opposite vertical members (11, Fig 2) and two longitudinal members (12, 13 Fig 3) having respective stop surfaces in a plane offset in relation to that of the vertical members; at least one door wing connected to a vertical member so as to rotate about an axis parallel to the same for closing the door opening; at least one lock device 24 fitted to the cross members 30 of the door wing; and a continuous peripheral annular seal 27 fitted to the door wing; the seal presenting first portions 41 parallel and coplanar with the vertical members; and second portions 42 fitted to the door wing, parallel to the longitudinal members such that the second portions are located behind respective fasteners of the look device 24, in a plane offset in relation to the first portions, and are connected seamlessly to the first portions by means of connecting beads 45. <IMAGE> |
