The invention relates to an anti-clogging roller (8) for a belt conveyor, which roller comprises: - a shaft (10) or at least two end journals (11, 12) via which the roller (8) is carried by bearings (13) which guide it in rotation and immobilise it in translation, - around the axis (10) of the shaft, a body (14) having a globally cylindrical shape of revolution (axisymmetrical shape), and - around the abovementioned body (14), a layer (15) of a lining made from elastically deformable material which is itself preferably covered by a protective surface layer (16).
