PURPOSE: To provide a nozzle having an electrode capable of being also used as a capacitive clearance measuring sensor for introducing the nozzle to a workpiece. CONSTITUTION: An electrically conducting nozzle main body 2 is included in a nozzle, and a nozzle electrode 12 which is electrically insulated from the main body at the tip end is disposed. The nozzle electrode 12 is housed in a cap element 15 which is engaged with the nozzle main body 2. At the same time, the nozzle electrode 12 is pressurized against an insulating main body 9 with the cap element 15. The cap element 15 and the nozzle electrode 12 are insulated from one another with an electrically non-conducting layer, and the shielding of the nozzle electrode 12 with a long way into the tip region is made possible. The nozzle electrode 12 is furthermore protected from lateral forces by the cap element 15, consequently damage to the insulating main body 9 housing the nozzle electrode 12 is avoided.
