The present invention relates to an apparatus for the controlled irrigation of natural cavities of the human body, particularly for endoscopes and more particularly for urological, gynecological and arthroscopic endoscopes. The irrigation apparatus (10) is comprised of at least two channels (12, 14), the first to inject in a continuous mode an irrigation liquid into one of such cavities and the second to evacuate in a continuous mode said irrigation liquid from the cavity, said apparatus incorporating an irrigation circuit (11) coupled to one of said channels and a suction circuit (14) coupled to the other channel. The irrigation circuit (11) and the suction circuit (14) are each provided with a pump (16, 18), a pressure sensor (17, 19) and means to compare the pressures measured by each of said sensors and to control the pumps (16, 18) as a function of the registered pressure differences.
