<p>PURPOSE:To provide the title positive temperature coefficient thermistor in high reliability suffering the least characteristic deterioration even if it is used in the reducing atmosphere within said thermistor used as a heating element or a switching element. CONSTITUTION:An insulator layer 2 in minute and fine crystal particle diameter wherein 0.001-0.01 mole of manganese dioxide is added to one mole of barium titanate base compound is formed on the surface (outer peripheral part) excluding the formation surface of the electrode 3 of a semiconductor ceramics 1 mainly comprising the barium titanate base compound having the positive resistance temperature characteristics so that the title positive temperature coefficient thermistor in high reliability durable for the long time application by avoiding the characteristic deterioration due to the reducing atmosphere and material may be manufactured.</p> |
