FILTER METHOD OF HOLLOW FIBER FILTER MODULE

PURPOSE:To provide a washing method for a hollow fiber module which allows the efficient peeling of filter cake from the hollow fiber filter membrane in a hollow fiber membrane module and allows the maintenance of a high flux over a long period of time by easily recovering the filtering capacity of the hollow fiber module and the hollow fiber filter module of a new structure to enable this washing method. CONSTITUTION:This hollow fiber membrane module is constituted of the hollow fiber membrane which has an elliptic ring shape in sectional shape and can be deformed in the sectional shape of the hollow fiber membrane when internally pressurized. The hollow fiber membrane module is also constituted of the hollow fiber membrane which has a circular ring shape having unequal thicknesses in the sectional shape, is held deformed to an elliptic ring shape in the sectional shape during washing and can be deformed in the sectional shape in order to restore the circular shape in the sectional contour when the negative pressure at the time of washing is released. The cake sticking to the membrane surface of each piece of the hollow fiber constituting the above-mentioned hollow fiber filter module is efficiently removed by moving the membrane surface of each piece.
