PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum quantity of exposing light in all the copying magnification areas with comparatively easy adjustment by controlling the exposure in a state where the characteristic of the quantity of exposing light with respect to magnification in each area is regarded as linear. CONSTITUTION:A controller is provided with a lamp regulator 2 for controlling effective voltage impressed on an exposing lamp 1 and a control circuit 3 which transmits a control signal to the lamp regulator 2. Then, the range of all magnification is divided to plural areas consisting of a part in which the characteristic of the quantity of exposing light with respect to the magnification is nearly linearly changed, and the characteristic of the quantity of exposing light with respect to the magnification in each area is regarded as linear. In the case, an adjusted value for the set magnification is calculated based on the adjusted value of one specified magnification in the area in which the set magnification is included, and the exposure in the set magnification is controlled based on the calculated value. |
