PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of ink adhering to a paper at the time of high density reproduction in a color ink jet printer. CONSTITUTION:When a color image is formed by driving each color print head based on three colors of yellow, magenta and cyan, for example, black is produced as a common part only when all of yellow, magenta and cyan are turned ON. In other case, i.e., when any one of yellow, magenta or cyan is turned ON, signals of yellow, magenta and cyan are printed as they are and black is not printed. Consequently, ink is dried quickly and such trouble as the ink adheres to a paper feed roll or other paper or the ink permeates to collapse a void character can be eliminated. |
