PURPOSE:To check variation of a fuel injection quantity of an air assist type fuel injection valve. CONSTITUTION:It is provided with an air assist type fuel injection valve 6 having a nozzle port 14, assist air, passages 12, 15, 16 communicated with the nozzle port 14, and a fuel valve 18 to inject fuel in the assist air passage. The assist air passages of the air assist type fuel injection valves 6 provided on respective cylinders are connected to a common air manifold 24 through respective assist air supply control valves 23, and the air manifold 24 is connected to a fuel pressure regulating valve 28 to regulate fuel pressure supplied to the respective fuel valves 18 of the air assist type fuel injection valves 6. The fuel pressure supplied to the respective fuel valves 18 is maintained at the higher pressure than the air pressure in the air manifold 24 by a prescribed pressure. |
