PURPOSE:To enhance high speed recording performance and shelf life of a thermal recording material comprising a supporting material applied with coloring agent, heat-sensitive agent and an overcoat layer by employing a cured film of UV or EB curable resin containing magnesia as the overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:A supporting material such as a paper, a plastic sheet or a synthetic paper is applied with a thermal layer coating liquid mixed with coloring agent and heat-sensitive agent by means of a bar coater, and then it is dried to form a thermal layer. An overcoat layer is then applied thereon wherein the overcoat layer is formed into a cured film of UV or EB curable resin containing magnesia. The UV or EB curable resin includes prepolymer such as epoxy (meta) acrylate, urethane (meta) acrylate or saturable polyester/styrene and vinyl monomer such as styrene, vinyl acetate or N-vinyl pyrrolidone. |
