A gearbox for speed redn. of drive motors, partic. for electric tools, has at least one gear-pinion set, with a lubrication unit serving the meshing parts. The gear (3) has at least one storage region (5) for lubricating fluid which is located radially inside the mesh region (4) towards the rotating shaft (9). The gear also has at least one channel (12) to direct the lubricating fluid radially outwards to the mesh area. ADVANTAGE - Reliable, continuous lubrication of contact surfaces.
