Breathing gas supply system for patient - has means to check composition of gas breathed in and gas breathed out
摘要
The patient is supplied with a breathing gas which consists of a mixture of oxygen and a nitrogen containing gas, preferably air. The oxygen is supplied from a first source (1) and the air is supplied from a second source (2). Both sources (1, 2) are connected to a mixing device which controls the proportions of the two gases. The mixture then flows to the outer compartment of a mask fitted over the patient's head. The mixture flows to the patient through a hole in the inner wall of the mask. The CO2 level of the gas breathed out by the patient is checked by a measuring device (10). The measuring device (10) also checks the composition of the gas supplied to the patient by means of a pipe (37) which connects the device to the outer part of the mask. USE/ADVANTAGE - Supply of breathing gas to a patient. The composition of the gas breathed in is checked as well as the CO2 content of the gas breathed out.
