AUTOMATIC DIMMER DRIVING METHOD OF VTR DIGITRON

The dimmer program is attached to digitron driving program in a timer microcomputer so that a hardware dimmer can be eliminated. The method comprises the steps: (A) checking dimmer request from a user through an operation key; (B) repeating on-off of the digitron with a certain period (C) during a first time duration (A); (B) checking the end of the first period (A) and turning off the digitron during a second time duration (B). The period (C) is shorter than the time duration (A) so that the brightness of the digitron is lower than the normal brightness of the digitron.
