PURPOSE: To optimally manage and assign the page memory of a printing device and a disk device by providing a resource manager having a specific function. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a system manager, scanning manager, printing manager, and resource manager as a module which manages a control part 7. A printing long-time scheduler(LTS) routine called by the resource manager preliminarily holds a required disk band width and a main memory 56 for each picture file according to a present memory state, disk band width utilization, and initialized long-time scheduler(LTS) table. Moreover, the printing LTS calls a printing memory swap routine, and decides which picture file stored in the main memory 56 should be transferred to the disk memory for preparing the place of the next picture file to be inputted to the main memory 56. Thus, a turn around time can be improved, and a pitch skip can be reduced. |
