PURPOSE:To provide a lighting device whereby a pulse can be transmitted by a long distance without causing largeness in size of the device and substantial increase of a cost. CONSTITUTION:A dimmer 2 for controlling AC power from a commercial AC power supply E is connected to the commercial AC power supply E through a power supply line 1. A stabilizer 5 of a lighting circuit 4 and a pulse generating unit 6 are connected to the dimmer 2 through a distribution line 3. The stabilizer 5 connects a discharge lamp FL through a power supply line 7 for supplying power with a pulse, and also the pulse generating unit 6 connects the discharge lamp FL through a pulse transmission line 8 for transmitting a pulse. A cable line 10 is constituted by housing the power supply line 7 and the pulse transmission line 8 in a single cable 9. |
