PURPOSE:To prevent generation of heat and deterioration of cell characteristic due to mixing reaction gas in a stack by preventing gas leakage from a side surface of the fuel cell stack formed by laminating a plurality of unit cells. CONSTITUTION:A fuel cell is formed by arranging a pair of electrodes 2, 2' interposing a matrix layer 1 impregnated with an electrolyte. A unit cell 5 outputs electric energy by supplying fuel gas to the above-mentioned one electrode side and oxidizer gas to the other electrode side. In the fuel cell having a fuel cell stack 6 constituted by laminating a plurality of the unit cells 5 through a separator 4 or a cooling plate, a gas seal formed of an electrolyte resistant resin film 10 is formed in a stack side surface. |
