PURPOSE:To effectively attain the remedy of curling and prevent the occurrence of a blocking phenomenon and to prevent the occurrence of jamming by providing a cooling means on a nonimage surface side and a carrying means on an image surface side. CONSTITUTION:In this recording sheet cooling device, the cooling means is provided on the nonimage surface side, and the carrying means is provided on the image surface side, or the cooling means is provided on the image surface side, and the carrying means is provided on the non image surface side. Then, a recording sheet fixed by a thermal fixing device 1 is carried to the recording sheet cooling device 20, and to nonimage or image surface side is cooled while being carried by the cooling and carrying means, so that the cooling is effectively executed and irregularities in an image never occurs. Therefore, the recording sheet is cooled to such a degree that satisfaction is obtained, and the remedy of the curling and the prevent of the occurrence of the blocking phenomenon can be effectively attained. Moreover, the occurrence of the jamming caused by the sticking of toner or the recording sheet to the face of a cooling/carrying roller, can be prevented. |
