PURPOSE:To evade the discontinuation of the fault monitor processing given to each communication control module in a multiprocessor system where a system monitor module and plural communication control mudules are connected to a system bus. CONSTITUTION:The monitoring priority is previously set to the communication control modules 14 and 15. The module 14 having the higher priority decides the fault of a system monitor module 13 when the fault monitor informing signal is not received yet from the module 13. Then the fault monitor informing signals are continuously transmitted to the module 15 until the fault of the module 13 is recovered. Thus the module 14 performs the fault monitor processing in place of the module 13. If the module 14 executing the fault monitor processing in place of the module 13 has a fault, the module 15 having the next higher priority performs the fault monitor processing in a system. |
