PURPOSE:To obtain a nitrogen oxide sensor which can be used even in an exhaust gas in which H2O and CO2 exist. CONSTITUTION:This nitrogen oxide sensor has one end of a glass tube 10 closed with a solid electrolyte piece 12 comprising a metal ion conductor and current collectors 20 and 22 are arranged on the surface facing outside the glass tube 10 of the solid electrolyte piece 12. The current collectors 20 and 22 are covered with metal nitrate covers 26 and 36 as melted matter of NaNO3 and Ba(NO3)2 while other current collectors 30 and 32 are arranged on the surface facing the inside of the glass tube 10 of the solid electrolyte piece 12. |
