<p>A filter unit for a modular filter assembly comprises a head (1), said head having a feed chamber (2) and a discharge chamber (3), and a casing (6) surrounding a filter element (4). Fluid flow from the feed chamber to the discharge chamber of said filter unit passes through said filter element.
