PURPOSE:To manufacture a high density Fe-Si-Al alloy sintered soft magnetic substance of good magnetic properties which is widely used for a magnetic head core, for example at high density with good yield and at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:An organic binder is added to an approxiamately spherical Fe-Si-Al alloy which is manufactured by gas atomizing method and has an average drain diameter of 40mum or below of Si:4 ro 15wt.% Al:2 to 10wt.% and the remainder substantially composed of Fe, and injection molding is carried out. After debinded, the molding is sintered. A composition which consists of an approxiamately spherical Fe-Si-Al alloy powder of an average grain diameter of 40mum of below and of Si:4 to 15wt.%, Al:2 to 10wt.%, and the remainder substantially composed of Fe which is manufactured by gas atomizing method and an organic binder is molded by injection. After the molding is debinded, sintering treatment is carried out. Furthermore, it is cooled gradually to 300 to 200 deg.C after held 700 to 1100 deg.C for 30 minutes to 20 hours. |
