PURPOSE:To simply oscillate a single frequency by providing a semiconductor laser oscillator for exciting a solid state laser oscillation element in which reflecting films are deposited on both side surfaces, and means for heating or cooling the element, and reducing the thickness of the element by such degree as the free spectrum interval will be equal to or wider then a special width. CONSTITUTION:Both side surfaces of a laser oscillation element 1 are deposited with reflecting films 11 made of dielectric multilayer films having high reflectivity for a laser oscillation wavelength. An output laser from a semiconductor laser oscillator 2 is condensed by a condensing optical system 3, and emitted to the element 1. The element 1 is heated by a heater 4, its thickness, refractive index, center of an oscillation spectrum, etc., are varied, and a maximum laser output is obtained when a frequency decided by a reflecting film interval corrected by the refractive index coincide with the center of the spectrum. |
