<p>A tear-open container carrier (10) has integral webs defining container encircling apertures (16) for accepting and firmly holding containers therein. The integral webs have bridge means (32) extending from the container encircling apertures to tear strips (34) which are capable of accepting a force. Each of the bridge means (32) has force and tear directing and propagating means (36). When a force is applied to a tear strip, the integral webs rupture under the influence of the force and tear directing and propagating means (36), thereby opening the container encircling apertures (16), and allowing the quick and easy removal of the containers from the carrier. <IMAGE></p> |
