Treatment and prevention of immunosuppression therapy-induced nephrotoxicity with neutral endopeptidases such as N-[N-[(L)-[1-[(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)-methoxy]carbonyl]-2-phe nylethyl]-L-phenylalanyl]- beta -alanine and N-[2-mercaptomethyl-3-(2-methylphenyl)propioyl]-methionine are disclosed.
