PURPOSE:To secure such a metal gasket as suitable to a surface pressure distri bution with a base plate by forming a metal ring being made up of cutting a metal blank into a ring form, so as to make its thickness vary on the circum ference. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a metal blank formed into a specified sectional form, whose thickness in the cross direction, is cut off, forming two metal ring 5, 5'. In addition, plural pieces of fluid holes 2, where a pressure fluid passes through, is formed in a metal base plate 1. Then, these metal rings 5, 5' are set up in a peripheral edge of at least two adjacent holes among these plural fluid holes 2 so as to have the thickest part of these rings 5, 5' situated at the mutually adjacent side of these fluid holes. Finally, in this state, these metal rings 5, 5, are joined to the plate 1. |
