<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a discharge lamp ballst free of a touble caused by the gas generated from the fillers in a case when the ballast main body is abnormally heated up. CONSTITUTION:A bottom cover 2' is fitted on one of the opened parts of a cylindrical case 1', and the case 1 is fixed by inserting the dowel 6, provided on the side face of the bottom cover 2', into recessed part 1A on the side face of the case 1'. A cavity 8, where the case 1' is opened, is provided in vertical direction in the center of the side wall of the case 1'. The lower end of the cavity 8 is opened to outside the case 1', the whole length of the upper and the lower longitudinal direction of the aperture part of the case 1' is sealed up with a tape 9 for the purpose of preventing the intrusion of fillers.</p> |
