TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE

PURPOSE:To obtain a toner giving a developer having superior durability, environmental stability and satisfactory cleanability and capable of forming an image free from ground stain and having high image density and high resolving power. CONSTITUTION:Resin particles produced by dispersion polymn. are dispersed in an org. solvent not dissolving the particles and a dye is dissolved in the solvent before or after the dispersion. The particles are colored by allowing the dye to penetrate into the particles, the solvent is removed and hard fine particles surface-treated with a fluorine-contg. silane compd. are incorporated into the colored particles to obtain a toner. The relation between the solubility (D1) of the dye to the solvent and the solubility (D2) to the resin of the particles is represented by D1/D2 <=0.5.
