PURPOSE:To generate the dot image from a vector font at a high speed, in the document processor for storing font data of a character, a symbol, etc., by the vector font. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 7 calculates an address of a vector font 11 corresponding to an index code by referring to a table 10, reads out vector font data stored in its address, and divides it into every segment. Subsequently, dot image generators 13a-13e are allocated to each divided segment data, dot images of each segment are generated in parallel, transferred to a dot image composite memory 14 and a dot image of a character and a graphic is synthesized. |
