PURPOSE:To add a prescribed acoustic characteristic in response to the static direction for each prescribed range in the static direction or the sound static direction for each music instrument by calculating the sound image static direction of each music instrument included in an acoustic source. CONSTITUTION:The equipment is provided with a level comparator 4 comparing left and right signal levels for each frequency component passing through filter circuits 3, 3 and a phase comparator 5 comparing the phases of the left right signals, with an operation panel 10 having arithmetic circuits 6-8 calculating the static direction of the sound image of a music instrument included in an acoustic source 1 based on an output from the comparators 4, 5 and a display section 11 displaying the sound image static direction for each music instrument based on the result of calculation, and with an extraction device 2 having a logic circuit 9 switching output switches 17, 17. Thus, the optimum acoustic characteristic is added to a concert hall in response to the kind of the music and its genre in response to the sound image static direction. |
