<p>PURPOSE:To simply and economically obtain a colorless and high-quality bisimide useful as a stabilizer and modifier for industrial plastics by reacting a dicarboxylic acid anhydride with an alkylenediamine or hydrazine. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by formula I [A and B are H or A is bonded to B to give group shown by formula II (X is H, halogen, acetyl, etc.; (n) is 1-6)] is allowed to react with a lower alcohol having <=100 deg.C boiling point to give a corresponding carboxylic acid monoester. Then the carboxylic acid monoester is reacted with an alkylenediamne or hydrazine by using a uniformly blending stirrer under a reduced pressure (<=600mm Hg) at 80-180 deg.C to give the objective compound shown by formula III. The amount of the alkylenediamine orhydrazine used is 0.47-0.50mol based on the carboxylic acid monoester. The reaction can be carried out by alcohol method, low-boiling solvent method, solventless method, etc.</p> |
