PURPOSE:To enable an aimed gradation image to be accurately represented by using a transfer ribbon wherein both a surface of a transfer ink layer and a plastic surface being as surface to be transferred have an almost same softening point. CONSTITUTION:A thermal fusible transfer ribbon 20 wherein a transfer ink layer is formed and a plastic 30 surface being the surface to be transferred are inserted by superimposing between a thermal head 10 having a narrow part in its central part and being equipped with a plurality of heating elements 11 capable of varying its heating area by control of electrification and a platen roller 40 arranged in pressure contact with the thermal head 10. Then, the transfer ink layer is transferred onto the plastic 30 surface to form a gradation image. Since a transfer layer surface of the transfer ribbon 20 and the plastic 30 surface have an almost same softening point in this case, softened resins are connected with each other. Thereby, an aimed gradation image can be accurately represented. |
