PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound useful as a recording material or a raw material for resin. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by the formula (HOPhSO2R1OCONH)nRx (Ph is aromatic ring; R1 is <=15C bifunctional group; (n) is 2-8; Rx is polyfunctional isocyanate residue). The compound is obtained by reacting a hydroxyarylsulfone (e.g. p-(2-hydroxyethanesulfonyl)phenol) containing at least one aliphatic hydroxyl group with a polyfunctional isocyanate (e.g. 2,6-tolylene diisocyanate) in a solvent such as water or alcohol at 40-80 deg.C. The compound is used as a material for extensive usages such as developer for coloring colorless dye, binder, epoxy resin raw material, etc. |
