BRUSH HOLDER AND ELECTRIC ROTATING MACHINE EMPLOYING BRUSH HOLDER

PURPOSE:To make possible to easily and safely confirm sliding contact between a current collector and a brush in a cartridge type brush holder which can be loaded/unloaded-freely to/from an electric rotating machine. CONSTITUTION:A light source 14a detects a state where a current collector 1 is connected electrically with a brush 6. In a cartridge type brush holder, inspection and replacement of brush are performed by means of a brush loader/ unloader 5 through an operating lever 9a. A power supply and a switch circuit for lighting the light source 14a are built in a protective insulation board 13 and when the brush loader/unloader 5 is loaded incompletely, the operating lever 9a comes to a position on the handle 8 side thus the light source 14a lights on.
