Microbiological recultivation of industrial refuse heaps - by treatment with fertiliser, humic prepn. contg. Aspergillus niger, grass seeds, then bacterial cultures

Industrial refuse heaps are recultivated microbiologically as follows: (a) the heaps are smoothed and mixed with a fertiliser (I) which results from the purificn. of industrial-domestic waste; (b) a humic prepn. contg. a culture of Aspergillus niger is added; (c) the heap is ploughed and the seeds of perennial plants are sown; (d) the sown surface of the heaps is inoculated with a bacterial prepn. contg. a culture of ammonifying and nitrifying bacteria recovered from refuse heaps; (e) the surface of the heaps is inoculated with a bacterial prepn. contg. a culture of azotobacter and phosphate-dissolving bacterial recovered from the refuse heaps during the period of plant sprouting and tillering; and (f) the plants are watered. The process is simple, needs no large-scale capital investment, facilitates landscaping, and accelerates soil development.
