<p>PURPOSE: To provide a wrap spring clutch/brake unit which can briefly adjust spring differential motion in comparison with a conventionalone, without shifting tongues of a clutch spring and a brake spring from a cutout to a cutout. CONSTITUTION: Tongues 26, 27, 38, 39 of a clutch spring 25 and a brake spring 37 in a wrap spring clutch/brake unit 10, are coupled with one another so as to separate sleeves 40, 50 from each other, which form a control collar 30 in the clutch/brake unit. The sleeves 40, 50 are coupled so as to be synchronously rotated with each other in order to normally adjusting differential torsional motion of the springs by means of a splined internal tooth ring 51 for sliding the sleeves to a release position where the sleeves are rotated from each other.</p> |
