<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize both normal recording-reproduction and still recording production in a satisfactory extent by changing a tape reference position during speed change time in such a fashion that an angle formed by a tape reference edge and a recording trace may be under the same condition during both travel and suspension of the tape. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped guide member 31 is fitted into a drum base DF where a gear 30 of the guide member 31 is engaged with a gear 32 of a rotary drive motor 34. The guide member 31 is installed so that it may be rotated by the drive of the motor 34. Under this construction, the rotary drive motor 34 is rotated in a normal or reverse direction in conformity with the change over of the rotary speed so that the angle formed by the reference edge of the magnetic tape and the recording trace by a magnetic head Ha may be in the same condition during both travel and suspension. As a result, a guide plane 31a of the guide member 31 is capable of controlling the angle formed by the reference edge and the recording trace, while being guided by the reference edge of the magnetic tape.</p> |
