PURPOSE:To obtain the satisfactory ultrasonic image by decreasing the ultrasonic attenuation. CONSTITUTION:The probe is provided with a means for making the tip of an inserting part provided with a balloon 10 and an ultrasonic vibrator 8 provided in the inside of the tip of the inserting part movable relatively and retracting the ultrasonic vibrator from an ultrasonic vibrator protecting member, so that a body to be examined is irradiated with an ultrasonic wave without allowing it to pass through the tip of the inserting part, and the ultrasonic attenuation is decreased thereby. |
