PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of image quality of a printer due to the irregularity of the transfer capacity of a thermal transfer ink sheet in a thermal transfer printing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A code 10 having transfer capacity data recorded thereon is applied to a part of an ink sheet 3 by a magnetic means or a printing means and a means 11 reading the transfer capacity data recorded on the ink sheet 3 is arranged on the side of a printer and the optimum energy is applied to the ink sheet 3 used on the basis of said data. |
