摘要 PURPOSE:To form unevenness on the roll surface with high accuracy by allowing a refrigerant to flow to the laser beam irradiation surface of a rolling roll to form a thin film and blowing off the refrigerant thin film of the part by high-pressure gas at the time of projecting a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:The refrigerant is supplied to the roll surface 2 from a refrigerant tank 3 to form the refrigerant thin film. The rolling roll 1 is rotated and while a laser beam irradiation head 31 and gas injection equipment 35 being fed in the roll axial direction, the pulse laser beam L is projected on the roll surface 2. Since the refrigerant thin film of an irradiation part is blown off by the high-pressure gas, the laser beam L is projected directly on the irradiation part. The irradiation part and its vicinity are heated and molten to form the unevenness. When the laser beam irradiation part is moved to the next position, the high-pressure gas injection position is also moved and a formed uneven part is immediately covered by the refrigerant and cooled rapidly and hardened. Hard metal plating of 5-20mum is executed, as necessary, on the surface after this dull machining.
