PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful power consumption by a remote control receiver part by stopping the power supply to the remote control receiver part when the remote controller has not been used for a prescribed period of time. CONSTITUTION:A voltage detection circuit 4 connects a switch 13 to the side of an external power source when the external power source is connected to a power source terminal 3, and connects it to the side 2 of the power source within a camera when the external power source is not connected. When a main switch 5 is turned on, the power source for a control part 6 is turned on. The control part 6 turns on a switch 15 to supply power to a remote control receiver part 7. It also resets a timer 6a operating in a clock transmission part 22. When the external power source is not connected, the timer 6a judges whether or not 30 minutes has passed. When it is judged that 30 minutes has passed, the control part opens the switch 15 and disconnects the power from the remote control receiver 7. When an operation switch 11 is operated while the switch 15 is open, the switch 15 is closed. |
