<p>A revolving door (1) for the protection of the access to and/or exit from a room is provided with a revolving shaft (2) having a number of door wings (3) spaced evenly around it, a pair of panels (4a,4b) at opposite ends bordering on the path followed by the door wings (3) and forming a partly closed zone (5) with a first (6) and a second (7) opening, a drive motor (8) for the shaft and a control unit (10) for the drive motor. Further a monitor unit (11) is provided having a detection aerial (13), which aerial generates a detection field, such that when a person carrying an authorization card enters the detection field the monitor unit (11) sends an enable signal to the control unit (10) to turn the shaft (2) through a predetermined angle in the direction of passage to allow the person to proceed from the one opening to the other. Each door wing comprises a detection aerial (13,12), means (15-21) being provided to switch each aerial on and off in turn, such that when the revolving door (1) is stationary only the detection aerial (13,12) of that door wing (3) is activated which, seen in the direction of passage, is in front of the person who wishes to enter or leave the protected room. <IMAGE></p> |
