PURPOSE:To reduce a replenishing amount of a developing solution without deteriorating processing performance and photographic performance by using a specified processing solution maintaining fixing function even after being used for processing. CONSTITUTION:The processing solution having fixing function even after being used for processing is brought into contact with an anion exchange resin having an anion represented by formula I to remove iodine ions and further silver and to reuse at least a part of it. In formula I, L is a simple bond or a divalent group; D is an N or P atom; each of R1-R3 is independently alkyl or aryl or each may combine with each other to form a ring and each permits the logarithm of octanol/water distribution coefficient P of the compound of formula II to be >=-1.5, where the distribution coefficient P is a ratio of concentration of the compound of formula II in octanol/that in water; and X<-> is an anion. |
